Upgrading from DOS to Windows Me
Here are some things to keep in mind when upgrading your computer from DOS to Windows Me.
Before You Begin
Before you begin the upgrade, you must completely remove your existing Invisible LAN software for DOS.
Remember, Invisible LAN for Windows Me is a totally different product than Invisible LAN for DOS. You may have problems if you don't remove your DOS version of Invisible LAN before installing Windows 98.
If you don't know how to remove Invisible LAN for DOS, you can read the FAQ on How to Remove Invisible LAN for DOS.
During the Upgrade
There's nothing special you have to do during the upgrade process.
After Installing Windows Me
After installing Windows Me, you are ready to install the Invisible LAN software for Windows Me.
You must use Invisible LAN version 4.00K for Windows Me. Go to our Software Products section and download Invisible LAN for Windows Me now. Be warned, you will have problems if you attempt to install any other version of Invisible LAN on a Windows Me system.
You can find installation instructions in the text file 95SETUP.TXT which is included with the Invisible LAN software. This file has been updated for Windows Me. It may also be helpful to look at the "Invisible LAN Windows 95 User Manual" which you can get from our On-Line Manuals section.
