Software Patches and Utilities
These programs are used to fix compatibility problems, fix bugs, or add additional functions.
DOS Patches and Utilities
The following programs can be used when running Invisible LAN on DOS.
|Disk cache update for 2-gigabyte and larger drives.
This new disk cache can be used with Invisible LAN versions 3.10 through 3.54C. It adds support for disk drives larger than 2 gigabytes.
Invisible LAN version 4.00 already includes this enhanced disk cache, so you don't need to download this file if you have Invisible LAN 4.00 or later.
|Patch for the Doctor's Office Manager System (DOMS) software.|
|Patch for the DOS DATE function on some computers.
On some computers, the DOS DATE is not updated correctly if the computer remains on continuously for more than two days. The problem arises mainly on dedicated servers, which tend to remain on continuously for a long time.
|Patch for keyboard timing problems on XT/286/386 PCs.
This fixes a problem with the keyboard occasionally yielding an incorrect keystroke when the network is running. The problem does not seem to occur on newer PCs (probably because of the faster speed of the CPU).
|Patch for older DOS based versions of Peachtree software.|
|Utility program for monitoring an Invisible LAN
The program sends a mail message when the UPS is reporting a power failure, or when the server is low on disk space.
|Instructions for using the Invisible LAN server to monitor a Tripp Lite UPS.|
|Utility program to unload the Invisible LAN network software from memory. Please read the enclosed information before using.|
Windows 3.X Patches and Utilities
The following programs can be used when running Invisible LAN on Windows 3.X or Windows for Workgroups.
|Program for improved printing speed with Windows 3.X
or Windows for Workgroups.
This program has been included with Invisible LAN since version 3.41. So, you don't have to download this file if you have version 3.41 or later.
|Bug fix for Invisible LAN 3.54 server. This fixes a
bug that could cause the server to crash during Windows
startup or shutdown while under a heavy network load.
This update can be used only with Invisible LAN versions 3.54 through 3.54C. Invisible LAN version 4.00 already incorporates the bug fix.
Windows 95 and 98 Patches and Utilities
The following programs can be used when running Invisible LAN on Windows 95 or 98.
|Network Clock program for Windows 95 and 98.
This program sets your computer's date and time to match the date and time on a file server. You can use this program to synchronize the clocks on the computers in your network.
|Patch for Windows 98 Second Edition.
This patch corrects a problem that occurs with Windows 98 Second Edition on some laptop computers. The problem is that the error message "TransBIOS virtual device driver is not installed or not working" appears during start-up, and network functions are not available.
