Invisible LAN Operating System

The following software products are the Invisible LAN Operating System. All of these are version 4.00K.

Adapter Independent Invisible LAN for DOS and Windows 3.X -- The "AI" or Adapter Independent version supports a wide variety of network boards, manufactured by many different companies. This version runs with DOS or Windows 3.X. You can use this software to install new network stations, upgrade existing stations to version 4.00K, or convert from "AD" to "AI" software.

Adapter Dependent Invisible LAN for DOS and Windows 3.X -- The "AD" or Adapter Dependent version only supports network boards manufactured by Invisible Software. This version runs with DOS or Windows 3.X. You can use this software to install new network stations, or upgrade existing stations to version 4.00K.

Invisible LAN for Windows 95 and 98 -- This version runs with Windows 95 and 98. It supports any Ethernet or Token Ring network board with a Windows 95 or 98 driver, including boards manufactured by Invisible Software as well as boards manufactured by other companies. You can use this software to install new network stations, or upgrade existing stations to version 4.00K.

Invisible LAN for Windows Me -- This version runs with Windows Me. It supports any Ethernet or Token Ring network board with a Windows Me driver, including boards manufactured by Invisible Software as well as boards manufactured by other companies. It is actually the same software as the Windows 95/98 version, but the setup procedure and documentation are updated for Windows Me.


Invisible LAN Add-On for Windows 95/98/Me

The following software product is an add-on to the Invisible LAN Operating System for Windows 95/98/Me. It is version 4.00K.

Invisible Control for Windows 95/98/Me -- Invisible Control is "remote control" software, which lets you control text-based programs running on other computers in the network. Invisible Control uses the network to send screen images and keystrokes from one computer to another. Your computer must be running Windows 95/98/Me, but the other computer can be running DOS, Windows 3.X, or Windows 95/98/Me.


Invisible LAN Add-Ons for DOS and Windows 3.X

Each of the following software products are add-ons to the Invisible LAN Operating System for DOS and Windows 3.X.  These are all version 4.00K.

Invisible LAN Ultra Server -- Invisible LAN Ultra Server is a high-performance 32-bit file server. It is intended for dedicated server applications, where the highest possible performance is required.

Invisible LAN Remote -- Invisible LAN Remote lets you extend the range of your network through serial ports and modems. It lets you connect a workstation to the network through serial ports and modems, and it lets you connect two networks together through serial ports and modems.

Invisible RAM -- Invisible RAM is memory management software for DOS. It does not support Windows. Depending on the capabilities of your memory hardware, the Invisible RAM software can increase the size of DOS memory beyond 640K, load memory-resident programs into upper memory, and provide expanded memory (EMS).


Other Software Products

Invisible Control for DOS -- Invisible Control is a remote control program for computers running DOS. It does not support Windows. Invisible Control uses the network to send screen images and keystrokes from one computer to another.

Invisible LAN Boot ROMs -- These files let you create boot ROMs for NE-1000 and NE-2000 compatible network boards. You can use boot ROMs to create diskless workstations.
